We are Palestinians in Gaza seeking to build practical, safe and legal pathways for families to rebuild their lives in the UK.
Since we started in August 2026, we have brought together the first 37 families in Gaza with a similar number of people in the UK through ‘The Bridge’, a WhatsApp chat where we share ideas, recipes, photos and hopes.

We have a steering group helping families prepare profiles to share, making skills and educational audits to connect them with educators and employers, and learning from past schemes so we can help build the bridge from our side.
Bridge of Hope is not an aid organisation. We are building connections and creating a framework for collaboration. We are bringing together families in Gaza, communities across the UK, voluntary organisations, faith groups and other partners who may be able to contribute to making these pathways possible.

The initiative grew from a simple belief: people and communities can be part of the solution when they are given the opportunity, the right support and a practical route to act.

At the heart of Bridge of Hope are the families themselves. We want to give families in Gaza the opportunity to introduce themselves — their backgrounds, professions, skills, interests and hopes for the future. At the same time, communities in the UK can learn about the families and consider whether they have the capacity and willingness to welcome them.
For families in Gaza, this is about more than finding somewhere safe to live. It is about the possibility of rebuilding a life with dignity, allowing children to grow up in safety, and enabling adults to use their skills and contribute to the communities that welcome them.

We are looking for communities, organisations and partners in the UK who are willing to work with us to explore and build these safe and legal pathways, each contributing in whatever way they can.
Bridge of Hope is about turning solidarity into connection, and connection into practical pathways to safety and a new beginning.
